The Union Européenne de Cyclisme Management Board has taken note of the measures in the Decree from the President of the Italian Republic Council of Ministers of 4 March 2020 (click here), and in agreement with the Verona BMX Team, the first two BMX European Cup rounds in Verona, (Italy) on 28 and 29 March 2020, will be postponed.

The UEC Management Board, the UEC BMX Commission, the Italian Cycling Federation (FCI) and the organiser are already actively looking for another date in the UCI calendar so that the event meets the scheduled deadlines for awarding points to qualify for the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games.

At this difficult time, the health of all athletes, their families and all those involved is our absolute priority. We will soon be announcing details regarding the new dates of the Verona BMX European Cup.

I had a video request on how I pack my bike when I fly. There are so many ways to do it and this is just my method. Like I mentioned in the video, the Okendo bike pad is quick and convenient but not a necessity! Ive found the way that I do it is pretty safe and keeps the bike from getting scratched! Enjoy.

Today is day 25.Kai is still in intensive care under 24-hour monitoring and support. A few weeks ago, doctors were not confident he would survive, but he has been fighting hard, and doctors are now more optimistic he will make it. Kai has not woken up yet, so doctors don’t have any real idea of the extent of the injury. However, they do know he had a severe knock to the head, and they tell us rehabilitation will take many many months. They also said that Kai is young and extremely fit, which will really help.
