Corben Sharrah (Tucson, Ariz./Dalight Cycle Co) and Connor Fields (Henderson, Nev./Chase BMX/Monster Energy) went 1 and 2 in the main event on Saturday at round one of the UCI BMX Supercross World Cup in Argentina. After winning their respective quarterfinal and semifinal rounds, the two Americans made it to the final along with compatriot Nic Long (Lakeside, Calif./Haro Bikes/Dans Comp). Sharrah had a strong start out of gate four and powered his way to the win ahead of Fields who had gate number one. Amidou Mir of France rounded out the podium and Long was seventh.
Two Americans made it to the women’s main – Brooke Crain (Visalia, Calif./Hara Bikes/Dans Comp) and Alise Post (St. Cloud, Minn./Redline USA), who placed sixth and seventh behind winner Caroline Buchanan (AUS).
On Friday, riders contested the time trial super final where Alise Post made the podium with third place in a time of 34.637. Fields
