"Like the BOX Harmonic hub cassette bodies, we make the cogs to Shimano’s precise specifications, which means they have tighter tolerances than some others on the market. Tighter tolerances mean they have a more precise fit on Shimano-compatible cassette bodies with less wobble and slop,” said Michael Gamstetter, BOX’s senior brand manager.
Both alloy and chromoly cogs have a 5-millimeter wide inner base, giving them a more solid interface with the cassette body.
The alloy cogs are anodized black with laser-etched graphics. The chromoly cogs are electro plated black with laser-etched logos.
Pinion cogs have a suggested retail price of $29 for both chromoly and alloy.
