Old School and New School riders are coming together again. This weekend in Greenville. Gary Pollak, Mike D., Large Ray, Brian Blyther, Mark Eaton and Ron Wilkerson will be among the guys checking out 16 riders battling for a brand new Subaru WRX, a DC tricked out dirt bike, a Breitling watch, a Yamaha TTR and a bunch of cash. BMX unites, it's timeless and it's about the good times.
We got some news for you, right here:

-The RIDE Publishing offices are now closed. We caught this note on Keith Mulligan's Facebook: Today was the last day in the Tustin Ride BMX office. It's now a commute to the Carlsbad TransWorld headquarters/work from home program starting next week. I'll miss that moldy old office. Plenty of good times there. :(

-But Tustin, CA is now a BMX office richer. Robbie Morales has set up camp with the Cvlt crew. Expect things to really start moving early January.

-Over at S&M distribution they've picked up United Bike Co. (starting April 2010) and also Orchid Footwear (starting March 2010). Their dealers will be able to use the Online Dealer site on 1 january 2010 to make orders and to check what's on stock.

-SBC was going to give FATBMX the exclusive on the Rollin Video but it showed up online before they wanted to. They've got some videos in store (Style cats, Domination, Standard Country....) so I'm sure it will work out at some point. It was a way for them to say thanks for doing the FATBMX site. Nice.

-The Upcoming events are as follows. It was good to see that the BMX Masters have changed their date to the weekend after so the Nass and Masters don't clash (again).

The King Of The Animal House event is taking place today and tomorrow. With $8K prize money, 2 motorcycles, a $5k watch and a Subaru WRX on the line it's going to be insane. Here are a few notes from the event:
-Mad Dog replaces Chase Hawk who is out with hurt shoulder
-Drew Bezanson can’t get out of Canada/into the US for some paperwork issue so he wont be here
-Vince Byron boosting to the moon
-There will be a head to head mini comp between Chris Hughes and Vince Byron to win a place in the final jam. Whoever wins the most $$$ in Friday’s cash jam gets the spot
-Harry Main looks good. Ryan Guettler looks good. Some are struggling to adjust to the space. Others, like Mad Dog were up to speed almost immediately.
-Morgan Wade took a hard fall to his shoulder in practice with a hangup on a quarter. Went to the hospital for x-rays that were negative. He’s gonna try to take some advil and go for it tomorrow.
-Daniel Dhers still brakeless. So is Mike Laird.

-We were in Berlin last weekend for the T-Mobile Extreme Playgrounds Street Session. Insane riding by some of the best riders out there. Here are the head to head results:

-We were asked to take down the KMC Chain post. Sure it's a prototype but DK seemed to get a little much attention for it while Paul's customer Timo was also riding one. It is in the testing phaze but with the internet it's hard to keep that under wraps. You'll see the Grind Chain back online as soon as the copyright hassle is taken care of. Look at Timo's bike or Catfish's if you want a close up.

-

The Dutch BMX Olympic squad is training in South Africa at the moment. They stopped by the Leatt-Brace offices to say hi.

-In case you were wondering, yes we're on the lookout for supporters for 2010. Banner ads are available.

-Levi's sent over a bunch of OBEY posters that were exclusively made for them. They come in packs of four, and yes we've got some to give away. Check back in early next week to see what you have to do.

-FATBMX became a media partner of the Simpel Session. We've been supporting that event for many years now and will be back in February for the 10th edition.
