They formed 24 years ago and are still raging. The Offspring, with classics like “Self Esteem“, are a save bet when you want to have the audience to lose control within seconds. The singer cut off his dreadlocks a long time ago and he doesn’t need to tell his granny anymore that he’s sick, just to go on tour with the band. Anyway, you can’t label Dexter Holland and his men a ‘fun combo’. They pack their messages in between the lyrics or deliver them straight in your face. All for the sake to make this world a better place. If you want typical southern californian punkrock - these boys are the cult band! Their album “Smash” is the best sold indie album of all times and with over 45 million records sold, The Offspring are the most successful punk band ever! Each of their long players placed easily into Top 10 spheres in different countries. They let five long years pass by, until they released ”Rise And Fall, Rage And Grace“. During the festival summer of 2008 they proved the world that they’re not about to quit. The Offspring’s live gigs make faces happy and t-shirts wet. Together with two other top acts they will make the audience go nuts at the Street Session.

Prior to the Street Session, the best national pros and rookie riders can qualifiy at the following events.
BMXers: Local Support Street Challenge in Emmering, close to Munich, 27th September. As there will be no open qualification in Berlin, these are the only possibilities to take part at the T-Mobile Extreme Playgrounds and to compete against the international stars at the Street Session.
Actually, what are the T-Mobile Extreme Playgrounds? Well, it’s the forum for the best and the most extreme of sports and music – brought to you in a way never seen and felt before. The main initiators of the T-Mobile Extreme Playgrounds are Andy Zeiss (rebeljam), Achim Kujawski (BMX pro) and Lars-Oliver Vogt (Nice Productions GmbH). The two action sports insiders and the renowned festival expert had been working on a concept for their own event series that provided the sound on stage that the action sportsmen have in their ears. So, while the riders are showing their extraordinarily best on their little and big wheels, the music amps them up. T-Mobile Extreme Playgrounds are the proof for a concept that was done from the scene for the scene. The Playgrounds have been showing for two years now that it is possible to get the best BMX, mountainbike, wakeboard and skateboard riders together, to add an incredible live program and to attract thousands of action sports fans. Bands like Mando Diao, Good Charlotte, Pennywise and the Hives have paved the way.
