Hookit is pleased to announce the 2014 Monster Army Recon Tour dates and continued partnerships with Monster Energy, Replay XD, Movietickets.com, Hyper BMX, Mike Spinner and Ryan Guettler. This year's series will visit some of the best parks in the country giving riders at every level the opportunity to progress in their sport and compete against the best. 2014 Monster Army Recon Tour Dates & Venues:

Registration opens on March 15, 2014 for riders to compete in 13-15, 16+, Open (non-pro) or Pro (Incline Club and Clairemont only) divisions. Recon Tour partners Monster Energy, Replay XD, Hookit, Movietickets.com and Hyper BMX are all supporting the amateur divisions with nearly $50,000 in prizes combined with Monster Army’s Paid to Podium program for eligible riders. The final two stops at the Incline Club and Clairemont will include PRO Contests where $10,000 will be paid out at each stop to the top six riders: 1st $5,000, 2nd $2,500, 3rd $1,000 and 4-6th $500.
David Lieb was the first-ever 2013 Recon Tour national champion and successfully made his professional debut at Mike Spinner's Play Pro contest this past November. After the nerves wore off, David finished an impressive 9th overall amongst 19 of some of the best riders in the world. This year, the winner of the Open division at each stop will again be provided with the opportunity of a lifetime. All six winners will earn an invite and travel budget to compete at Recon Tour PRO Contests, AM Finals as well as a spot in the invite-only Play Pro Contest held at Mike Spinner’s backyard park.
