With more and more teens participating in contact sports and the growing need for the right gear to give them a competitive edge on and off the field, leading global contact lens manufacturer CooperVision is sponsoring Gear Up Grants, an exciting new program that will give away $25,000 in grants to ensure that community teams and athletes have what’s necessary to be at the top of their game – from the right sports equipment to fitted contact lenses. Ten grants in total will be awarded, and submissions will be accepted from May 4th, 2010 – June 25th, 2010 online at mycontactsports.com
.
To help spread the word to teens about these grants, CooperVision has teamed up with BMX biking phenom and Dew Tour winner Daniel Dhers and gold-medal-winning soccer star Heather O'Reilly. Both Daniel and Heather are sharing their dynamic story on how changing to contact lenses helped give them the competitive edge they needed to excel – not only enhancing their vision, but also boosting their
confidence levels. Life is a contact sport – gear up!
