2025 Urban Sessions Brussels: 4-6 July. First UCI HC event ever.

For its fourth edition, Brussels Urban Sessions is moving to the ‘Parc du Cinquantenaire’. The world’s best BMX Freestyle athletes are coming back to Brussels from July 4 to 6. New venue, 3x3 basketball tournament, ‘Open Air’... After the success of the first three editions, Brussels Urban Sessions is raising the bar even higher and positioning itself as one of the major highlights of summer 2025. The move to the Cinquantenaire marks a key milestone in the evolution of Brussels Urban Sessions. This iconic venue provides a prestigious setting and increased international visibility, solidifying Brussels as a major hub for urban sports. The largest action sports event in Belgium welcomes the world elite of BMX Freestyle every year (UCI international competition) and has become a key event in the Brussels calendar. The relocation has been warmly welcomed and supported by the City of Brussels, which believes the event will further enhance Brussels' image as a sporty, youthful, and dynamic capital.

The move to the ‘Parc du Cinquantenaire’ reflects the ambition to continue growing the event in the years to come. In addition to the international BMX Freestyle competition showcasing the best male and female athletes, other disciplines such as 3x3 basketball, parkour, and skateboarding will be featured,

along with concerts, DJ sets, and street art activities.

As an official event on the UCI (Union Cycliste Internationale) calendar, the BMX Freestyle Park competition will feature the world’s top male and female athletes. Matthieu Gheysen, Event Director: "Brussels Urban Sessions is aiming even higher in 2025! After the success of previous editions, we’re excited to welcome back the world’s best athletes, including Olympic medallists. With the rise of BMX Freestyle boosted by the Paris Games, the event is reaching new heights: a landmark location at the ‘Parc du Cinquantenaire’, the arrival of 3x3 basketball, and an 'Open Air'. A sensational mix that promises an unforgettable edition, combining elite sport with an urban festival open to all!"

The three-day festival will offer a wide range of activities including sports demos and workshops, street art, music, food trucks, and kid-friendly entertainment. Visitors of all ages can not only admire the talents of athletes and artists but also actively take part in a variety of activities. They can defy gravity on parkour obstacles or showcase their skills in BMX, skateboarding, or 3x3 basketball.

Open Air presented by TIPIK – Friday, July 4
Following the BMX Freestyle qualifications and ‘Best Trick’ contest, Urban Sessions will host an ‘Open Air’ evening with DJ sets by Romain Kuntz and Calumny, who recently released an official remix with Bob Sinclar—guaranteeing an epic atmosphere to kick off the summer holidays.
