-This year the FISE is welcoming the 1st step of BFWC (World championship of flat, in 3 stages). It takes place in Montpellier between the 14th to the 16th May 2010. Opened to amateurs and pros, with 5000 € of price money. The ground will be in wood and new ! Amateurs: qualification on the 14th Friday and the final on Sunday. Pro : Qualification on the 14th Friday and the final on Saturday evening (with a battle) Best tricks : Sunday. The Judges : Nathan Penonzek (Canada), Effraim Catlow (UK), Kotaro Tanaka (Japan), Martin Schulz (Germany) The show will be in live on the web: fise.tv  All the information you may need are on the web site of the Fise, Cream, or Global-flat.”

-Bad news came in regarding this week's FAT FAVs rider Josh Perry. We wish him good luck and a speedy recovery:

"Josh Perry informed us of some unfortunate news this week. His head had been hurting for a few weeks and his vision was even a bit blurred. Josh had fallen on his bike, but never hit his head hard enough for these kinds of symptoms. When he went to the doctor and was examined, a tumor was found in his head. The doctors say that it’s benign and not cancerous. The tumor is not in the brain tissue yet, but will continue to grow, so they have to do surgery to remove it. The good news is that the tumor is not scattered, so removing it shouldn’t be too difficult. Josh is currently seeing neurologists and taking steps to prepare for surgery. The Athlete Recovery Fund (ARF) has flown Josh’s parents in to be with him through this. Josh said; “Thanks to everyone for the support and good wishes. I’ll definitely be going crazy while off my bike and looking forward to riding with everyone again!"

-Great to see Mat Hoffman back on the bike. A special shoulder brace is making it possible for the Condor to fly again. Check the movie.

-Mini FAT-JAM went well considering the weather we had to deal with. Everyone was riding between 13h00hr and 17:00hr and then it was time for the after party. Thanks to everyone for coming out. Long live the optimists, fuck the pessimists.

-Ryan Nyquist and crew are in the planning stages for the Warriors of Wood event, and things are looking really good. They are adding a full on street course to the event this year, so that should make things a whole lot more exciting. Nate Wessel is handling the build jobs this year so you know it's gonna be legit. There will be more updates, and fliers to come.

-Okay, you are 40 years old. You are from Germany but you moved to Mexico. And at age 40 your signature bike comes out with a Mexican company. It happened to Chris Althaus who worked together with Mutante to get the Mutante 351 cruiser on the market. Stranger things have happened. Prost Chris!

-The schedule for the upcoming months is looking insane. If these FAT Fridays don't come in on time, don't give up hope, we're still out there doing the BMX thing, probably more than the computer thing. Upcoming event next Sunday 18 April is the Helm Trails "Spring" jam in Helmond. If you fancy jumping some gaps on a Sunday afternoon, come on over.
