I was wondering if there is somebody out there with too much time on his hands who could put all the pros' favourite things in a spreadsheet. That way we would know who was voted as the most favourite dirt rider, the favourite phone, favourite old school rider, favourite contest etc. Little warning, we've posted a few hundred on FATBMX but because of that it would make for a fair outcome. Well, any spreadsheet wizards out there? Still snow on the ground? Nothing else to do?

-A killer rider that doesn't end up in the media too often is Ben Wallace. On FATBMX this week you can find an interesting interview with the Amity Bike Co shredder. Ben got third out of 110 pros in Tallinn so it should tell you a bit how good he is.

-After 8 years working on the MBK BMX program Denis Labigang has parted ways with the classic French bicycle manufacturer. Denis: "

Business is like a race as you know, we are all full speed and work hard to do our best to reach our goals with always a lot of respect of the competitors who push us to be better…so thanks to have let me be part of this big and exciting race…

I wish for MBK brand all the best in this difficult time…and I just want to say that I was proud also to stay with the 7 last people to try to fight to bring back the brand and work 100% for the brand and not personal interest, that was not the case unfortunately in the past for others…

Anyway as we often said “world is small” and I am sure that our way will cross again."

-The original HARO Freestyle team consisting of Dave Nourie, Brian Blyther and Ron Wilkerson will perform another show but this time in the USA. The date is August 14th and the place is Ashland, Oregon. Guest appearances of Mike Dominguez and Bob Haro are confirmed. It's Dave Nourie organizing this so it's in good hands. For more info on this unique happening, read this post on FATBMX. If it's half as good as the show they did in Cologne last year it's worth the trip to the Bike It event.

-Earlier this month Pieter Does visited the BMX Hall Of Fame in Chula Vista and also took a bunch of pics at the museum that we will show on FATBMX in the next couple of days. At the Olympic training grounds he also ran into Scott "The OM" Breithaupt who had stayed at Pieter's place over 25 years ago. As they say, it's a small world.

-Timm Wiegmann is about to finish up University and needs help from the German speaking BMX-ers out there. Here's what he wrote:

"I'm about to finish university (for now) and I'm writing on my final paper right now. Somehow I convinced my teachers that I'm allowed to write of the advertising effect of commercial webvideos versus printcommercials in the bmx-scene.

I read tons of books and studies but now I want to see what it´s like in the bmx-scene so I started a poll. I´ll focus on the german (speaking) bikeriders only by the way. So all German, Swiss and Austrian riders should hit this poll."

-Next week Sunday (February 28th) will be the opening of the Flame Trails in Brandevoort. Sure the place is a big mess right now because of the rain and snow the last few weeks but maybe it will dry up in time to get some riding in that day. If not, the opening will happen regardless, but with less riding action. If you've got nothing better to do, the official opening of the pump track starts at 14:00hr sharp.
