Vorfreudemodus aktiviert! Am letzten Aprilwochenende steigt im Skatepark Lohhof der Strawberry Jam 2023. Als kleinen Vorgeschmack auf einen Teil der vielen tollen Obstacles, die euch dort erwarten, haben wir hier einen kleinen Appetizer mit Paul Thölen, Lubos Durchan und Philip Staudigl in den Hauptrollen.
It feels like every town now needs a Pump Track. It is in fact a good way to keep rolling. From youngsters to the the old dawgs. It draws new riders into the scene and keeps the veterans on the bikes because they feel they can handle a roller or two. The design is important to keep rolling. If the design fails, pump tracks get boring quickly. There are no challenges left other than the stopwatch. But who rides like that? Pump Tracks ar fun when they are challenging. Can I manualy the entire section, can I clear the jumps, can I find transfers, is that gap possible, can I generate enough speed to go from one line into an other? Can a section be used as a miniramp? Is there a run-up to use a turn as a quarter pipe? Does the pump track offer possibilities for a race? One by one, or two at the same time?

Subrosa team rider Benny Gonzales came by Sparkys to build up a new Subrosa Om V2 frame wrapped in all Shadow and Rant parts.
The BMX Freestyle national championships took place in Roncade, in the awesome setting of H-Farm, an international school and university campus. For some years now, the park built by Hurricanes has been the national Olympic center for this discipline. Back competing for the tricolor jersey, worn 4 times by the everlasting Alessandro Barbero in the last 5 years and only in 2021 by Francesco Mongillo.
The boys have grown a lot, thanks to the guidance of CT Ventura and the Olympic center built for them, when I arrive on site I find my long-time friends, with only Guilherme Henrique Paloschi a new face for me.
