We'll put your event on the FATBMX Event calendar so more people will get to know about your race or contest or jam that you're putting on. We're here to spread the love but you figure out yourself where you need to go. Contact the event organizers before you head over. Every summer, as the sun breaks through the morning mist over Aarle-Rixtel, the quiet Dutch village begins to hum—not with tractors or town chatter, but with the rattle of BMX chains, the thump of portable speakers, and the buzz of excitement rising from the legendary Sugar Hills Trails.
It’s FATJAM day.
Since 1988, FATJAM has been more than just a jam—it’s been a tradition, a gathering, a defiant celebration of BMX culture rooted deep in the sand and soul of Aarle-Rixtel, the Netherlands. What started over three decades ago as a grassroots session among friends has become one of the longest-running, most beloved dirt jams in the world.
The rules have always been simple: no entry fee, no egos, just ride.
On the day of the jam, the Sugar Hills—a carefully crafted network of dirt jumps tucked into a patch of green at the Valkendijk—come alive. Riders of all ages and skill levels descend from every direction, from neighboring villages to riders from across the border. Vans line the nearby streets. Barbecues fire up. Dogs bark. Kids pedal around wide-eyed, dodging tailwhips and high-fives. There are no grandstands, no fences, no wristbands—just a shared love for BMX and the freedom they bring.

Airborn Global Vert Clash is a vert only video contest open to all vert riders worldwide. Amateur, pro, young or old, this is open to all. Conceived by two uk vert riders to bring the spotlight back to the toughest and most rewarding BMX discipline there is. To enter, you need to film a one minute edit purely on vert, filmed in landscape, with all footage to be from this year, and add some music of your choice.
Entries must be with us by 15th August this year.

X Games Salt Lake City 2025 Delivered Double-Digit Growth Across ESPN Platforms as Youth Audience Surges
In its 30th year, X Games Salt Lake City 2025 Presented by SONIC delivered double-digit growth across ESPN platforms, a 12% increase year-over-year. Among 12–17-year-olds, viewership soared 328% year-over-year, while viewership among 25–34-year-olds jumped 74%. On Saturday (June 28), X Games Salt Lake City delivered double-digit growth, up 13% year-over-year on ABC and a 63% spike on ESPN2.
X Games SLC grew on Roku especially with younger audiences, this trend was most pronounced among viewers ages 18-34, which saw its base grow by 50%+ and its base with females age 18-34
