Simple Session 21 is over and it was another one to remember. Big congrats to Broc Raiford, Courage Adams and Reed Stark on taking podium. Until next year!
Highlights from Simple Session 21 GT BMX Best Trick. 15 minutes each direction, with the whole Simple Session 21 squad. Apologies to anyone we missed - it got hectic out there!
Yet another epic Simple Session crowned their kings of skate and BMX street. In BMX, the first three places were awarded to Broc Raiford (USA), Courage Adams (ESP), and Reed Stark (USA). The BMX finals at Simple Session 2021 demonstrated everything this sport has to offer, from drama to camaraderie to simply fantastic tricks. Winner Broc Raiford says it was super intense before his winning run.
"Watching all my homies and fellow riders doing their thing and ride super hard and I just knew that when it came down to my run I had to leave it all out on the course and I'm so thankful that I landed
Three years of off and on filming. I want to thank Maty for being Maty... I hope his energy and love for riding came through this section.
Stijn Hens has been repping Soulcycle for a while now and they wanted to make him a signature shirt. They called on the man Flouz from Cluut to handle the design and film a video for it. Needless to say those guys came up trumps with this one. A grade-A banger.
Undergrind is bringing straight grime in the streets of Barcelona featuring Farrapo Arthur, Pablo Guillen, Mauro Bustamante and Negro Ema. The Undergrind grind originally hails from Posadas Argentina, but are down residing in what some would call the BMX street riding mecca. Keep your eyes peeled for more.
1st place: Courage Adams
2nd place: Felix Prangenberg
3rd place: Alex Donnachie
All the best from Simple Session 21 qualifying, featuring Courage Adams, Alex Donnachie, Brocktons Raiford, Felix Prangenberg and way more.
On the day of the Estonian 30th restoration of independence, there was another big event held in Tallinn – the world-famous Simple Session extreme sports festival that took place in Põhjala Factory. 61 skateboarders and BMX riders from 20 countries all around the world fought for their place in tomorrows' finals. After the skateboarders had finished, it was time for the BMX qualification round. Spaniard Courage Adams, who was one of the last athletes to perform, proved his skills. 25-year old impressed the judges with the smooth and elegant ride, and the reward for that was kind 91,33 points. Estonians Andreas Taru (27th, 28,66), Chris Patrick Tilk (21nd, 43 pts), and Martti Lainevool (22nd, 42,66 pts) didn’t make it to the finals.
One of the most spectacular performances was made by Julian Molina, who does the impossible and gives out such energy with just one leg. Crowds went wild with the happy vibes that Molina was radiating, he ended up in 26th place.
BMX experts Brian Kachinsky, Markus Wilke, Bart de Jong, and Toms Silins were the judges. Kachinsky, Wilke and De Jong were also present at Tokyo 2020 Olympic games.
