USA Cycling on Tuesday announced its 19-rider team heading to Auckland, New Zealand, to compete at the UCI BMX World Championships, July 24-28. The squad representing the U.S. is stocked with talent. All five U.S. Olympic Team members who competed at the London Games are among the contingent that boasts 10 world championship medals, three of them gold.. Connor Fields (Henderson, N.V./Chase BMX), a 2012 Olympian and currently second in the UCI BMX Supercross World Cup rankings, will be defending his world championship title in the elite men's time trial in Auckland. He will be joined by his Olympic teammates from London, David Herman (Wheat Ridge, Colo./Free Agent-Rockstar) and Nic Long (Lakeside, Calif./Haro Bikes), who is coming off his elite national championships win in May. Rounding out the strong men's team are 2013 elite national bronze medalist Jared Garcia (Victorville, Calif./Speedline-Supercross), Barry Nobles (Wetumpka, Ala./DK Bicycles), Justin Posey (Winston Salem, N.C./Dan’s Competition) and Corben Sharrah (Tucson, Ariz./GT Redbull). 
Three weeks after my knee surgery, I have to be happy with my top 10 ranking at the UCI BMX Supercross at Papendal. 2,5 weeks ago the UCI BMX Supercross was held at Papendal. Like other years the organization put in a lot of work to turn our training track into a real Supercross race track. They created the perfect Supercross vibe for all riders and fans/visitors. The track looked awesome and felt good too because we adjusted some jumps which improved the safety of the track. My knee felt quite good but a race is always way more intense compared to the regular training, so I had to wait and see how my knee would react.
The preparation felt good so I had a lot of confidence during the Timetrial on Saturday. My first Timetrial was ok, especially because I had to adjust a lot during my lap because of the strong wind, it made me realize that there was room for improvement.
Monster Energy’s Scotty Cranmer impressed in BMX Park at X Games Munich taking a silver medal and earning 82 points next to gold winner Daniel Dhers’ 84-point lead. It’s the eighth career X Games medal for the 26-year old from New Jersey. Cranmer is the only BMX rider to double medal in BMX Park this year at the X Games stops with his first bronze medal at X Games Barcelona. Today’s BMX Park final event saw the top riders battling through their heats on the big bowls of the Bavarian themed course with the top six
