On the first day of 2021 I wanted to give you guys some insight of what my daily routine was for 2020. My goal was to give it my all. On and off the bike I worked my ass off. I’m extremely happy with my results and how much I’ve progressed as a person and a rider.
Name: Shannon Gillette
Hometown: Chandler, Arizona
Started riding BMX in: Racing in 1980, but have been riding BMX bikes since about 1976.
Number of bikes in the collection: Only a few as of now. It's alway revolving stable.
Do you remember the moment that you decided to start collecting BMX memorabilia?
Shannon Gillette: I always just kind of hung on to my personal stuff. Like jerseys and number plates. But the first bike? I lived in Hawaii at the time and the year was 1989. It was actually a friend's old race bike, a 1979 Supergoose and he was throwing it in the garbage in front of his house. So I swooped it up and he told me I couldn't take it. I had to buy it from him. hahaha.. I said what?! You're throwing it out in the garbage. He said I want $40 for it. I said DEAL! It was in rough shape, but working in bike shops for 10 years I was up for the task. Long story short, I cleaned it up, rev=built the wheels as the spokes were all rusted. Hawaii does that to bikes with all the salt air.
Casey Starling officially gets the bump from AM to Pro for 2021! Casey is non-stop shredding anything and everything you put in front of him. This is well deserved and we can't wait to see what the next chapter has in store for our guy.
The NJS boys took a trip to Burlington, VT a couple months back and put together a few clips while enjoying the craziness of the college town.
2020 was a year filled with ups and downs. The pandemic turned things upside down and it made for one of the craziest years we've experienced in 21 years of being a brand. It has been one wild ride, but we're stoked to be able to keep riders around the world riding! We've picked out a few of our favorite Instagram clips from the team for this quick video for you to enjoy!
2020 has been a crazy year, to say the least. But this passed USA BMX held their first ever BMX freestyle amateur National Championships! Free Agent was there and we rode away with the top two spots on the podium!
Jordan really did went through hell for this one, but in true Godwin fashion he came out the other side with one hell of a video part. Many handrails rails slayed in the filming of this part.
Rest assured 2020 hasn't slowed Mike Hoder down one bit... and what better way to bring in the new year than with this guy? Shot in Seattle by Joris Coulomb - enjoy over 4 minutes with Number 1 himself.
Closing out 2020 on a good note with our biggest and best Quaranteam edit yet! We originally had the idea for this series as a way to release videos while the team couldn't travel. We also hoped this wouldn't be a series, but here we are dropping Vol: 3.
