“We’re beyond proud to have Ethan carrying the Huffy banner. His heart, hustle, and humility represent everything we believe in, and he’s all about inspiring young riders to get into riding BMX,” said Michael Gonzalez, BMX Category Manager, United Wheels, and former BMX Race Pro. “This podium represents his drive and that Huffy’s BMX bikes are world class.”
“Ethan has been working extremely hard on improving his starting prior to this event, sending me videos almost daily,” added Nic Long, 2x BMX Olympian and Huffy BMX Team Manager for race and freestyle. “Come race day, he shook off the previous laps and laid it all on the line for the main. He showed grit and determination. It was an awesome day to witness.”
Popovich joined the Huffy BMX team in early 2025 and rode the Huffy V2 prototype of the pro BMX race frame that the brand hopes to release later this year. "Ethan's track speed on his Huffy V2 Prototype frame was on another level to help him make key passes to secure the national title,” said Gonzalez.
