What parts do you change most often?
Jordy van der Heijden: Grips, tyres and pedals
Who are some of the people who hook you up with parts when you need them?
Jordy van der Heijden: Marco Dellisola, Stay Strong.Do you care about the looks of your bike?
Jordy van der Heijden: YES
Does she have to be clean at all times before you hit the track?
Jordy van der Heijden: Races yes, practice not always. If you know the bike will get dirty that day, I won’t clean it before.
What tire pressure do you run?
Jordy van der Heijden: depends on the track but always above 5bar
When it gets technical, who helps out with your bike?
Jordy van der Heijden: Most of the things I do myself, otherwise my dad will help
Any special reason for the colour combination of your bike?
Jordy van der Heijden: I always like clean bikes, not too much colour. I run the red now because it’s one of the new colours that Stay Strong came with for 2016. So no special reason.
Does weight matter much to you?
Jordy van der Heijden: Not much anymore. It’s more about safety these days.
Thanks to: FATBMX, Stay Strong and all the team sponsors, MOM&DAD, my fiancé Diana, Jorden & Tamara.
