so different than the usual practice sessions all in hopes for everyone to have a good time this weekend. The weather can destroy the party instantly but it actually looks good for the upcoming days. The people staying in a tent overnight might be a bit cold tonight as freezing temperatures are expected. Anyway, find yourself a hot body for company or you might freeze your ass off.
The pro section is on point in Erp and it took the Elite Men class a few laps before the first rider gave it a go. Then it looked very doable if you can keep the speed going coming out of turn one. We'll have to see how this works when 8 people are heading towards the take-off together. Hopefully the wind won't be a big factor because it's always nice to see people side by side in the air without being sketchy. Expect some decent shots from the pro section this weekend, the jumps are big.
Once again FATBMX is bringing you the live feed of this race, but you have to be there in person to really catch the atmosphere and see it all. I haven't been to too many European Championships races but Beek & Donk and Weiterstadt are two that bring back great memories. Hopefully Erp will be the same. The 30 minute drive is an easy one this time. Watch the lights!

Today we cruised over to Erp for the first Junior/Elite practice session for the European BMX Championships. Normally we go to the track on Tuesdays for practice. Today it looked different. Way different. I heard something about 1600 riders from 21 nations being present at "the local track" which was transformed into a BMX arena in less than a week.
