BF lives 12 miles from the park and shows he's got the lines down including big 180-s over the concrete spine. Tobias Wicke does all kind of new liptricks (to the Americans that is) on the quarterpipe. New on the crew are two announcers who talk one video segment into the other. Leigh Ramsdell and Steve Crandall set up for a street session in NYC next. After letting the Sept.-11 drama sink in, it's off to the 3 feet high cobble stone bank for a shesh. As long as you have talent on board, it is possible to fill a whole section at a little spot like this. Edwin Delarosa makes a guest appearance in the Big Apple and Chris Doyle did a huge 180 over a street. T-Nez is soaking up a lot of the street coverage at this point and so is Chase Hawk.

Thursday I got to the venue around 10:30am and went to watch BMX park practice once again, the wind again was not co-operating so they shut down Dirt and BMX Supercross practice for the time being. Therefore the only things going on were BMX Vert and Park practice. It seemed like every single rider was out there practicing, but even I after watching Park practice the whole day yesterday was not really feeling it too much, that and most of the riders had just gotten into San Jose the night before so most were still feeling out the course, so I decided to wander the venue a little bit I still hadn't found out how to get to the Dirt or FMX Venue but before I had a chance to do that, I walked into the Media Center and a few of the girls were working on getting the "Hurricane Relief Autograph Signings" together but they were having a hard time getting the athletes to sign up, so knowing that I had a connection to Ryan Guettler, they asked me if I could get him because as they put it, "If we have Guettler we don't need anyone else" so taking a look at the signing times and Guettler's schedule I found out he could do the Friday, went and talked to him and *poof* he signed up to do it.

A couple of months ago we decided that it was time to organise a good jam in Tilburg for the flatlanders from Holland. After getting some stuff worked out, we were ready to set it off. Paul’s boutique and Soulcycle were willing to help us out with some prices so it was pretty easy to put up a small best link contest. The contest turned out to be really cool with the best flatriders from Holland and Belgium showing up. We really wanted to create a good vibe at this jam and I think that we succeeded in doing that by not taking things too seriously. In the end Bram Verhallen showed everybody why he is the talent of the moment and won the contest, with some really hard links with whiplashes and

Word on the streets was that John Parker was going to do a magazine. When we ran into John in Barcelona he had the first issue with him. Sophisticated rider is about the RIDER which means it has different sports in it as well. The Premiere Issue has interviews with Jamie Bestwick, a Joe Kid On A Stingray premiere report, an article about the current state of Flatland, a "Welcome to the Circus" article about living on the road and also a report about the Bangkok X-Games Cup. That's the BMX stuff that you get for your money (well, I believe the first issue is free). Next to that, you also get an interview with FMX Cowboy Kenny Bartram, skateboarder Chris Livingston and Andy MacDonald. The magazine has the overall picture of the "extreme athlete" in mind which isn't a bad thing but the question remains if people are willing to fork out a couple of bucks quarterly to buy such a magazine. With John Parker footing the bill for issue one (there are practically no advertisers) let's hope he can get some of his connections in gear to start supporting the magazine.

What the hell, Eddie Fiola makes the cover of the summer issue of Cream with a picture from 1984, taken by James Cassimus at Upland. That photo tells a 1000 stories and later on in the magazine you can read the full on interview with Eddie himself. Cream is 50% in French and 50% in English so the non-French readers need no worry. The Cream posse obviously went to the USA but the French scene was not forgotten. Where Mike Ardelean sports the Edito page, Stephane Renaud gets the Contents page. News, who's that Frog fucking Duval in the ass? Hiroya Morizaki gets interviewed for all the flatland riders out there. Lille gets visited. Braun Ninja Spin gets reviewed before going into the Super**** UK tour (French only). Pessac de Nantes follows and then it's a report about the 2005 IBMXFF World's in Prague. ENERGY SKATEPARK, Telford, UK. Whilst of street riding today I got a chance to check out a new park; The ENERGY SKATEPARK is now the midlands premier skate park facility... In fact with the exception of kidderminster this is the only indoor park available to bmxers in the Midlands area making it a life saver considering in less than a month it will probably be dark by five o'clock. Any way on with the crack the park has some good lines and plenty of potential to expand into a much better facility. Some of the ramps include; a 5ft spine, a small volcano, a small jump box, a sloped wall ride (which is the bollox to learn tricks on!), a midi ramp, a large wallride, various qtrs and grind rails! The parks situated on Tweadle industrial estate, in an area called brookside just outside Telford, UK, bmx sessions are on; Tuesday 7pm-

The Midwales scene report, part 1, Welshpool ramps' I live in a small town called Welshpool just inside the welshborder. Up until relatively recently there were just a few streetspots andsome trails in the near by hills for the small scene of riders to session, In the last few years all that has changed; It started with the introduction of a new facility into the area a small but adequate skatepark know by some as The library and by the majority just 'the park' .This youth facility came a little late, but realistically with bmx and action sports being at an all time steady high just the right time.

Baco-a-go-go is coming up shortly. It's happening in Florida this year and the two main man behind it (Freimuth and DeGroot) are ready for it. Are you? What's the deal with Baco-a-gogo? Freimuth: Baco-a-go-go is our annual halloween bike comp. We started it at area 51 skatepark in 2000, mainly as a reason for our friends to come visit us to ride bikes and party hard. Since then we've just tried to make it bigger and better every year. We finally decided that Florida was the place to do it because of Chad's amazing new park and the weather is always perfect. DeGroot: This will be our fifth year doing it. It's more or less a Pro Jam. We set up this format to make it like your riding with all your friends. Then it spawned the best trick and title for the year. Josh Nenza received it last year with a 450 to ice pick on the hitching post. He brought home $1000 cash. The funny thing is that the first one we had. Dave had an idea to put a hitching post on the course. People went ape shit. That is how that obstacle all began. Now we have it at everyone.

Cathy Bluem has been doing reports for us from the Dew tour. Cathy drove up to San Jose and fired back this first report that's about the press conference and first practice session. It might be a week late but Cathy has a good reason for it. And then again, we're beating the BMX mags on this one anyway. Get ready for the Cathy reports. HEy Bart, I hope u got my email about this week its been HELL i had spanish test on MOnday, a History test on WEd (that I didnt know about until Monday) and a Communication quiz on Friay...so I didnt have time to do the reports but im getting em done now...heres the first day...

A long time ago at our local fair, it was possible to win BMX stickers. BMX was a hype at the time but it was strange to be able to win BMX stickers at the local kermis. Focused on BMX, I needed to win those stickers. I forgot what I had to do to get them but it was probably shooting some chalk pipes. Anyway, one of the stickers I won had the text: "Step On It" next to RL or Mike Buff doing a one-hand-one-footer. I think I still have it, somewhere....... This has got nothing to do with the Orchid Footwear DVD other than the title of it: "Step On It" With a super crew of riders such as Van Homan, Shawn Arata, Dustin Gunther, Wiz, Berringer, Martinez, Jay Miron, Max Vincent, Robin Fenlon, Adamski and Kevin Porter it is hard to fail a video. Most of the crew went on a 3 week trip to the North-West and flimed the complete thing. It has a bit of a RoadFools feel to it with the riders being on the road, riding new spots and having fun. The actual video is only 25 minutes long but it's full of amazing stuff. Loads of parks, pools and street in this DVD so if that is your cup of tea, this is for you.
