The 6th edition of the Wild Night Contest took place in Lille’s skatepark, la Halle de Glisse, on Saturday 2nd of April. The contest started with a qualification run to select 8 riders that would take part in the 1/4 final. From there, riders battled two against two with a one minute run, followed by three try outs for their last trick. Here is the final ranking of the Wild Night Contest 2016:

You wouldn't expect a dirt contest to happen on a Wednesday in The Netherlands. Wapenveld isn't necessarily a town that's on the BMX map either, but that will change. On 27 April, during Kingsday, when the whole of Holland turns orange, Monster Energy is presenting a big dirt comp with big names. Ben Wallace (England) and Kyle Baldock (Australia) are on the riders list. They'll be going to the Simple Session afterwards but first the current X-Games gold medalist will show Wapenveld what BMX is all about. Baldock in The Netherlands on a Wednesday, time to grab that orange shirt and head in the direction of Zwolle.
With Monster Energy backing the event, the pro purse is €2500 Euros. More BMX Dirt top riders such as Patrick Guimez (FRA), Nicky van der Veen (NED), Kenneth Tancré (BEL), Tobi Merz (AUT) and Freestyle Games winner Tom van den Bogaard have announced their presence.
