CELEBRATING BMX 2017; SNIPES BMX COLOGNE, again in Jugendpark in 2017

The world‘s greatest Freestyle BMX Event – the SNIPES BMX COLOGNE – will be held again on July 22 and 23, 2017, in the Jugendpark. „CELEBRATING BMX“ is the motto and on these two days, the spotlight will be on the fun of the spectacular stunts and tricks as well as the fascinating lightness of the sport. On the third weekend in July 2017, the organizers return to the two-day event format and for the 33rd year continue to follow their belief in bringing the sport and the festival back to their roots.
As in past years, the focus will be on the four disciplines Street, Spine Ramp, Flatland and Kickturn Ramp Old School Style, all of which will be taken on by riders in the classes Amateur, Pro and Old Schoolers.
More than 200 athletes from more than 10 nations are expected at this unique event. The SNIPES BMX COLOGNE 2017 will, like the last two years, be free to fans and visitors – this is a part of the motto „CELEBRATING BMX“ in its freedom and down-to-earthness.
„Once again we will forgo paid entry, so that everyone – hardcore fans, beginners, interested on-lookers and families – can have the possibility of celebrating BMX sport together with us,“ explained Stephan Prantl, organizer of SNIPES BMX COLOGNE. „The new concept has absolutely proven itself the last two years. Athletically, this year we are focusing again on four core BMX disciplines on two days. In this way we want to help BMX sport to continue evolving.“
The BMX Festival will be rounded out with an „80s Roller Skate Disco“ as well as food trucks and a shopping mile, so that attendees‘ hunger and thirst will be serviced in original ways and that they can shop for everything they want, from sunglasses to BMX bikes.
