ds) is an esteemed, industry-recognized program designed to showcase projects from around the world that combine cutting-edge technology with inspirational ideas to lead the way for future generations. Receiving nearly five million visits each month, the FWA portal points to the latest and best in creativity and innovation on the Internet. As its name indicates, the FWA Mobile of the Day award specifically honors mobile content, from browser games and mobile sites to apps for smartphones and tablets. Red Bull Illume HD will be featured on the FWA portal throughout the day of June 27 and will subsequently be added to the FWA Mobile winner archive: www.thefwa.com/mobile/red-bull-illume. 
The Red Bull Illume HD app is available for free download at the iTunes store. Developed by Zooom Productions Inc. and produced by Red Bull Media House exclusively for the iPad (all versions), the app extends the Red Bull Illume experience to a premium online setting. Each of the Top 250 photos is captioned with background information including photographer bios, and many of the Top 50 photos also provide audio commentary from the photographer. Other features include technical/equipment information on how the shots were achieved, as well as the ability to download images, use them as iPad wallpaper, and share them online. In addition to background information on the contest, the app automatically retrieves up-to-the-minute news directly from the Red Bull Illume website, including the latest on the world tour exhibition schedule and events.
