When you get a phone call on Tuesday to get on tour on Friday, you don't have much time to prepare. Maybe you don't need much time to decide when you can experience a rock and roll type tour in a full on tour bus. After the first show in Germany and a cancelled show in Belgium, I met up with the Deconstruction tour in Amsterdam for the second stretch. I was the MC for the BMX and skate show on the RedBull ramp. BMX-ers were Zach Shaw, Simon Tabron, Matt Fairbairn and Ronnie Remo. We joined the tour bus with the skateboarders (Jocke Olsson, Ali Cairns, Pete King and Dave Allen) and later on the RedBull ramp building crew stepped on the bus as well. We were part of the Deconstruction tour which had bands play at different venues every night.

We've received some good feedback on FAT VERT WEEK. My concern is that I'm going to leave people out that need to be part of this. Vert riders should feel welcome being part of this special week dedicated to them so get in touch before the week runs out. Not that we'll stop covering vert after that (we won't), but the focus is on Vert this week so make sure to get in touch asap. Here's the vert photo gallery of Chris Woodage. Achim Kujawski simply thought it was time for a vert session with his friends. "Vert is dead" is a T-shirt made by Spin Like Hell. People say it's dead but in fact, it's not. At least it didn't look that way at the Verthaus jam in Oberhausen where 10 vert riders made it over to ride together.

Looking at the age of the riders though, most of the guys were close to, or over 30 years old. To make sure "Vert is not dead" it definitely could use some new riders.
