I'm in the Mercure Eiffel Tower hotel writing this story on the LG Paris stop. It's Sunday and it started raining right when the pro/am street contest was about to start this morning at 10am. Hung-over Koji was stoked about that one. The weather forecast doesn't look too good at the moment and the whole day is a possible rain out for Sunday. The vert riders knew this was a possibility and they went all out on Saturday thinking the prelims might be the final with the rain coming in on Sunday.
The Dirt Finals on saturday evening were sensational with a very good mood. On technical challenging and innovative trails the riders showed lots of great runs.
King of Dirt became the actual World Champion Kye Forte from England. Alex Dropsy (France) became 2nd with very clean and hard tricks followed from Bibi Noirot. The until now nonfamous Alejandro Caro from Columbia placed on fourth position because he impressed the spectators and the judges with incredible runs and tricks.

When the ASA/LG decided to go on a World Tour, they forgot to inform the riders and the media. Round 2 took place last weekend in Munich. Round one was held in Moscow. Some of the stops have a vert demo only and no street contest. In Munich both disciplines were on the schedule.
What's that LG circus about anyway? Well, LG is a mobile phone and electronics firm from the East. They're pumping a lot of money in
With over $38G prize money for BMX alone, some of the top vert riders still opted to go to the first round of the Dew tour. Most of them were pulled in by their sponsors but some of them tried to qualify for the rest of the tour. I doubt they had as much fun as everyone had at the Snickers Bowl comp in Donington. The contest is held at the Download festival that attracts 120.000 hardrockers over the weekend. That, in itself, is a show. Had everyone with a black T-shirt left, they would probably have a crowd of 200 left over.
The wooden Soul Bowl with the kink was set up and basically put in the
