Out of a field of 50 BMX riders, Kevin Teets won the BMX park competition Saturday at the Gatorade Free Flow Tour's stop in Columbus, Ohio. Twenty one-year-old Teets from Ashville, Ohio earned the BMX park victory at Flow Skatepark after executing a front flip and a bomb drop to barspin off the 20' wall ride during his winning run.
Nicholi Rogatkin was second and
Vincent Smith finished in third place.
"I'm so psyched I finally won and am going to the Finals in SLC," Teets said.
"Third Gatorade Free Flow Tour contest was definitely a charm for me!"
"It was a great day with a lot of BMXers coming out to take a shot at the oppo
rtunity of a lifetime," Flow owner
Craig Billingsley said.
"I'm glad to see Kevin take the win; I know he's been putting a lot of time and energy into progressing his riding. I think he's going to do well at the Finals." With the win, Teets earns an automatic bid into the Gatorade Free Flow Tour Finals that will take place at the Dew Tour's Toyota Challenge, September 17-20, 2009.
