Liverpool’s well-established HUB Festival brings its carnival of delights again for another year. Events took place over the weekend in Wellington Dock on May 23rd and 24th, with pro and amateur riders equally pulling out all the stops for the crowd. -- With more than 25,000 people turning up for the free event, HUB is certainly one of the United Kingdom’s biggest extreme sport/youth festivals. With live performances from musical acts, graffiti walls, break dancing, shopping areas and various workshops, BMX/skate/inline riders had their work cut out for them in drawing the crowd – but draw them in they did.

Participants had the pleasure of riding on one of Europe’s biggest skate parks and vertical ramps, courtesy of King Ramps. -- Amateur and pro BMX riders battled for numero uno and had roughly an hour to strut their stuff, with the four best riders chosen to be designated jaw-droppers in the final showdown. Among the BMX pros were
Jerry Galley and
Bas Keep, who dazzled the crowd, much like the sun, for the entire two days of incredible action.
