Hannah Roberts took the lead early with a perfect first run scoring 94.20 points and kept her top spot despite a crash on her second attempt. Kim Léa Muller (87.60 pts), triple European Champion, recovered on her second run to claim second place. Fifteen-year-old Hungarian prodigy Noemi Molnar impressed in her first UCI World Cup appearance, landing a double truck and earning 86.40 points to take third place.
In the Men’s Final, the 24 qualified riders delivered an intense showdown. French rider Anthony Jeanjean electrified the Park with a clean double flair and a flawless backflip double tail whip. His second run scored 91.30 points, earning him a well-deserved third place and a standing ovation. Japanese rider Rimu Nakamura put down two precise and stylish runs (91.40 and 91.50 points). But it was Justin Dowell (USA) who came out on top with a bold and technical performance, three barspins, complex combos, insane rhythm, and perfect execution. His second run scored 92.80 points, securing the win and confirming his status as one of the world’s top BMX Freestyle Park riders.
UCI BMX FLATLAND WORLD CUP: JAPAN DOMINATES THE STAGE
On Saturday, the Women’s Finals confirmed Japan’s dominance in the discipline. Chiaki Todaka took the win with perfectly executed combos and flawless technique, followed by Carin Hommura and Sona Yoshimura, completing an all-Japanese podium that once again highlighted the precision and style of the Japanese school.
On Sunday, the Men’s Final at Shanghai, second stop of the UCI BMX Flatland World Cup, delivered an exceptional show with eight riders split into two heats. Yu Shoji (JPN), triple winner in Montpellier, claimed victory with a perfect, controlled, and fluid run scoring 91 points. French rising star Julien Baran took second place (82.83 pts) with a fast and stylish run ending in a Time Machine. FISE icon Alex Jumelin rounded out the podium (76.33 pts) with a smooth, technical run full of signature boomerang combos set to hip-hop beats.
