Pressure and pleasure are rising during this superb week end in Denver, Colorado. Today was dedicated to the semi finals of this 3rd stop of the FISE WORLD SERIES, still in the peaceful athmosphere below Jonathan Barofky giant sculptures. The big V8 cars are horning, the mile high stadium is throwing fireworks, Denver seems to salute the show presented by the bmx and skateboard athletes…like a premonition that something big is about to happen today on the Labor day. But for

now, let’s have a look at the main action of this joyful Sunday.

They were 12 before the Battle started, after a first round they were only six, now they are three after Matthias Dandois defeated William Perez to protect his world champion reputation. The french Battle between Alex Jumelin and Joris Bretagnolles saw the last one took the win. And Hungarian Adam Kun managed to protect his status of favorite in front of young and promision chilian Ben Hudson. The three men will battle together for a refreshing event that should be very entertaining to watch, especially with the stakes of the overall ranking of the FISE WORLD SERIES started in Montpellier.

We knew about the high quality of the line up…but this has definitely excedeed our best expectations as the UCI BMX Freestyle Park took a new dimension today in a fantastic semi final. All the riders gave it all and only few failed to present a dialed run. The 99.66 points of Russian Kostya Andreev witnesses the excellency of his run, probably one of the best one we have seen in the recent years. Technical and risky his riding was well rewarded as he is leading the pack ahead of big time favorite Logan Martin. We will see if he can keep this consistency in the Final, and under the pressure.

Clean and focused as always, the Australian is usually competing closely with Daniel Dhers, but as the venezuelan kept it easy today, another Aussie took over the challenge. Brandon Loupos was indeed in a wonderful shape today, pulling two amazing runs, including some Cashroll for the good measure. He will be for sure someone to watch on the very interesting final in which the Americans will have another chance to perform on their local ground.

On the Labor day, our host in Denver will enjoy a day off, on the green grass of the Sculpture Park of Denver, but for all the athletes it will be another day of pure joy. You only need to watch them smile when they ride to be sure that their job is also their deepest passion.
