managed to leave some of the pro riders behind them in the final score so they fit right in. Pim Scheers was back on the bike after a concussion kept him sidelined for a bit and got 9th with big flips, no-handers and all kinds of stunts on the 040BMXPARK-built course. Matt Armstrong and his buddies had a good time at the afterparty on Saturday and quickly rode the final before heading back to the ferry that would take them back to England. Matt scored 8th place. Sem Kok was ripping and opened with a transfer from spine to the smaller bank skipping the entire jump box that was set up in the middle. He continued flowing on the park with lots of style for 7th place. Arjan Ellens saw the entire countryside of The Netherlands by traveling from Friesland to the south of Limburg.
That's almost four hours by train! Arjan put it together and tricked every wall/spine/box for 6th. Germany's Tobias Freigang started off with a smooth flair, followed by a 360 X-up, smooth no-hander, truckdriver, barspin to X-up, footjam whip, and an Icepick to no-hander. He added a 540 barspin in his second run to get a total score of 81.
The level of the last four riders was impressive. Fourth place with an 87,16 went to Daniel Wedemeijer. The Dutch Red Bull rider had the lines and added lip tricks to his runs and rode away uninjured. His Best trick won the separately judged Best Trick contest and was nuts. Full speed towards the slanted Red Bull wall to Ice-Pick on the fence. The drop on the other side must have been 8 meters, but Wedemeijer stayed on the right side and pulled it fine. 3rd place went to Tom van den Bogaard. Different style than anyone, and hard to fit into all the trick machines, but everyone enjoys watching Tom sky to the limits and crank his variations further than anyone. His 360 downside whip for Best trick was impressive too. Second place with a score of 88,83 was for Belgian Kenneth Tancré. Superflips, double tailwhips, 720-s, superman seatgrabs, 360 indian seatgrabs, Kenneth did it all and went high at the same time. He was on it in Heerlen.
Surprise visitor from the Czech Republic was Michael Beran. Rather unnoticed in practice he started off his runs with bangers. His first run was near perfect and shot him to the lead which he held onto after his second time on the course. Michael did not pull his Best Trick within 3 attempts, but rolled out of a bikeflip 360 tailtap on the spine for the crowd.BMX Park Pro straight finals results.
