It's fair to say that anyone in the finals has something to show. Alex Coleborn started off in the first group but was already showing his skills that could easily win any comp. But FISE attracts the best riders of the world and with such a big crowd and a good vibe, every single rider stepped it up to impress the fans and the judges. In fifth place we've got Kostya Andreev from Russia who didn't feel too comfortable on his wobbly bike but the tech tricks were enough for the Total rider to get the fifth place check. Pat Casey's fakie tricks were hard, but it's not only about the fakie tricks he does. He's got the flair whips, 3-whips and T-bog 360's down as well. When it was time for the last trick, every rider got three attempts to do one last trick. Well, Pat pulled his first double whip fakie and continued to do two more. With only one counting Pat ended up in fourth place.
The podium was made of true FISE legends. Mark Webb can't do wrong in front of the crowd in Montpellier. People love him out here for good reason. The Brit is so entertaining to watch because you don't know what to expect on the next wall. It could be a 900, or an opposite flair, one thing's for sure, it's always a surprise. Mark got another Fise podium to add to his reportoire. It's hard to deny that Daniel Dhers knows how to put together a contest run. He had two runs to do his tricks and basically did more tricks than anyone else in those two runs. Daniel was the only one to 720 the spine and even let go his hands while doing so. Double D didn't even need to try a last trick to get 2nd at this year's FISE Spine Pro Mini finals.
Logan Martin (AUS) is a machine. His performance is so perfect that you won't be able to find a mistake. For his last trick he did need the full three attempts but he squeezed a 360 double downside whip to barspin over the spine out of it after two amazingly runs that include every modern trick and then some. The first place check went to Logan Martin and he's got the UCI BMX Freestyle Park World Cup 2016 still coming up.
