This year marked the 10th Anniversary of the epic Austin music and action sports event Fun Fun Fun Fest, and even though it was a little damp and soggy weather wise, it was yet another big, awesome party. The Volcom Super Collider ramp, built by none other than master shred craftsman Ryan Corrigan and his 14 crew members, was back for its second year and it was on point to the highest degree. It repelled the intermittent rain like water off a duck's ass. So rad. The Volcom skate team was on hand and they were throwing some serious magic on that set up. The BMX demo team was an all-star cast that included: Austin native and X-Games gold medalist Chase Hawk, Tree Bikes, Empire BMX, and Fox Racing sponsored Nina Buitrago, Fit Bikes master blaster Tom Dugan, Credence Bikes

super badass Clint Reynolds, FBM's super hot and super rad Danielle Windhausen, and Sunday Bikes burly Will Blount. The whole crew threw a sesh on the Volcom ramp that was off the fucking chart! Project Loop were one of the sponsors of the ramp and assembed this killer demo team. "Bone Deth's Dean Dickinson" was instrumental in helping run the demos with this wild bunch.

Clint Reynolds was on a full scale shred mission, and his lawn mower on the Volcom peak was a big highlight for me. Chase was on his game in a major way with his signature Slayer style speed and flow. Both the babes, Nina B. and Dani The Lightning Bolt showed that chicks can kill it too, and Nina's 50-50 peg grind off an extension and over one of the hips was very nice, the crowd went ape shit when she pulled it after a couple trys. Tom "Captain Dang-Dang" Dugan was blasting his smooth, huge, stylish airs all over the damn place. Will Blount was making shit happen and added a lot to the demos.

Steve Crandall was announcing and he was fucking hilarious as usual, I laughed so hard the entire time he was on the mic. He was all hopped up on Red Bull and cough drops and he wasn't taking any prisoners. Haha! So good! The music aspect of FFF Fest is, obviously, a whole other epic part of the event. Janes Addiction headlined Saturday night and it was a smash hit set. So good. Wu Tang Clan played and I heard a couple of them were shit faced drunk. There was tons and tons of music on several different stages, including a metal stage that featured Venom on Sunday night. Add in all the delicious food vendors and lots of Shiner beer, and the 10th Anniversary Fun Fun Fun Fest pulled off another super rad event!..Hell yeah and Cheers!
