What also marked this anniversary edition is 250m2 fresco by artist duo SISMIKAZOT on the perimeter wall of the « Epicentre » skatepark. This work entitled "French Fred Fucking" is dedicated to the work and career of French photographer Fred Mortagne fixture in the middle of the skateboard, has necessitated 12 days of work upstream « Sessions Volcaniques ».
More than just a "graffiti", akin to the mural painting has enjoyed a true background process. Indeed, in addition to the participation of Fred Mortagne to this project, some iconic skaters (Steve Forstner, Nick Garcia, Jeremiah Daclin, Javier Mendizabal, Flo Mirtain, Steeve Ramy ...) having crossed the photographer's lens and shared a piece of way with him participated via testimonials that came powering the background of this painting and its overall approach.
In the name of Session Libre we want to thank all our partners, our volunteers, our members, our friends, our audience, SISMIKAZOT, Madneom Gerard Baste, Dr Vince, Xanax, Waxxgyver, Fancie, Ibiza Death Monkeys AG Music all the riders, the technical services of the City of Aurillac and the CABA and all those without whom these Sessions Volcanic 2015 would not have the same flavor !
The 15th edition of « Sessions Volcaniques » took place from 11 to 13 September 2015, in Aurillac. Due to bad weather the contests Skate & BMX and free concert of Gérard Baste had to be moved to the « Halle de Lescudilliers » on Saturday, September 11. Despite this last-minute change program we celebrated the fifteenth anniversary of the most beautiful way!
