qualifying which had Daniel Wedemeijer in it (from Helmond!). Daniel won qualifying and made the finals along with 9 others.
31 riders entered the Am contest and 32 pro riders signed up for the BOK 2015 edition. It's a sign that these loose comps are needed and respected by the Dutch scene. Riders came from all over the place. Park riders along with street riders representing their crews and shops. Music, BBQ, beer and good riding made the atmosphere a pleasant one in Deventer. The Am finalists were rocking but the Pro class stepped it up a notch.
With pretty much everyone pulling their last trick, a lot of high-5s and hugs were made tonight at the Burnside park. When the crowd gets behind the rider, the motivation to pull the trick multiplies. Daan van Wezel's full speed gap to railride was sickerning. He won the Best trick award. Jack Nieraeth's 180 from bank to bank was rad also. Pim Scheers decided to try a flair whip on the quarter after his regular flair went smooth. After two tries he switched to a 360-double whip on the step-up and pulled it on his second attempt for third place in Deventer. Tom van den Bogaard's last trick was a front flip on the small box. The first one wasn't as smooth at the second one. Together with all the other tricks the Ale Blie
local did, he went home with second place. Tom was all over the place as expected. First place was for Daniel Wedemeijer. He simply does tricks on every ramp and mixed it up in Deventer. We even saw some tooth hangers and peg grinds down rails which aren't moves he normally does. His big wall slaps, footjam combos and jumps on the step-up made him a true winner.
BOK 2015 is over. 2016 can't come soon enough.
