Riders from the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany came over to take home some of the prizes and prize money (€ 1250,- in total) provided by Paul’s Boutique, Vans, Braaab, E-Moves and 040 BMX Park. We had AM class with 19 riders, PRO class 16 riders and the Braaab Best Trick.

In PRO class there was some serious competition and with a best run counts system, it could be anyone’s game. With a tight schedule and after some delay because of the ambulance, we decided PRO class would have straight finals. Everyone rode awesome and pushed their own limits. Tom van den Bogaard has a good mix of big tricks and style and took third place. Adrian Warnken from Ratingen Germany, not only showed some big tricks and also some really technical tricks during his run and got second. First place was for Daniel Wedemeijer who pretty much took first place with his first run with 360 combo’s on the way back and a turndown flip, 360 whip and turndown flair to end his run on the quarterpipe. Later on he still pushed it missing just his pedals on a flairwhip after a really impressive run.
Daniel’s clothing brand Braaab Clothing launched his first t-shirt at the Back and Forth contest and decided to sponsor the Best Trick contest with € 250,- for the winner. It was a 15 minute jam session and it was pretty hard to decide which trick was best because there were some serious air and tech tricks. Rene did a perfect 360 doublewhip on the box, Tom did a 360 double downsidewhip on the box, Fausto did a flair barspin, Tobias and Adrian did a few difficult tech combo’s but in the end Tom van den Bogaard blasted the 2 meter high quarterpipe with a 1,5-2m high and clean double downsidewhip air, which he just learned the week before, and won Best Trick.
Thanks to our sponsors Paul’s Boutique, Vans, Braaab, E-Moves and 040 BMX Park for supporting the event and thanks to everyone for coming out! It was a good day full of riding, having a great time together and it was again awesome to see the progression year after year.
