Park at the X-Games used to be all about the big tricks coming out that weekend. The box jump is where the focus was but not any more. The last few years the Park discipline at the X Games was more a concrete bowl contest, and that requires a different style of riding. Colin MacKay took some great shots all week for you guys here at FATBMX and gave us some inside scoop from the sidelines:
Tough contest, lots of people going off about judging but at the end of it all it was
Chase Hawk's day. Chase is an unbelievable bowl rider and had unique lines and flow that was unmatched today. 3.66 points in the lead. No one was close.
Everyone rode well though, all 12 riders. It was a tough decision to place the riders in rank, but one things for sure it was a great show.
I think
Gary Young was a bit unlucky, he was on fire today.
Dennis Enarson was probably the favorite and didn't make the super final.
