Chase Hawk, but the stars aligned for him in this year’s BMX Park competition. In front of a roaring hometown crowd that seemed to energize his riding, Hawk laid down a flawless, technical run to win his first X Games gold medal.

The local support really has me psyched.”DISCIPLINE: BMX Park Park offers riders the opportunity to test their skills on a unique transition-based concrete course. In Round One, riders each take two runs with their best score determining ranking.
The top six advance to the final. In the final, each rider takes three runs; again their best score determines the final ranking. Competitors are judged based on aggressive execution of maneuvers, degree of difficulty, variety, continuity of run, originality and style, amplitude and use of the course.
