Today the Braaab contest took off at the 040BMX PARK in Eindhoven, NL. Daniel Wedemeijer and his crew had worked hard to provide everything that's needed for a good comp. It was the turn for the Ams to shine. Out of nearly 60 riders 15 would make it to the finals. Three of them would get a ticket to tomorrow's pro contest and GoPro cameras were to be won.
040BMX is a park where locals get to learn new tricks on a weekly basis but a lot of riders came in from as far as Portugal, Greece, the USA and the UK. Mst foreigners were from Belgium and Germany so the contest had an international feel to it. When the dust was settled,
Arjan Ellens from Friesland took first place beating a stylish
Sem Kok for second and a tricking
Niels Mertens (Belgium) for third. The level of the ams is high these days with riders doing double whips, flair barspins and transfers that are simply ridiculous. Tomorrow the pro riders will get to ride the park. See how that turns out here on www.fatbmx.com
