Lights lit up the San Francisco sky for the BMX Dirt semi-finals at the Dew Tour Toyota Championships. The world’s best BMX riders battled it out in two heats of 12, with only 10 advancing to the finals. After a night filled with massive airs and technical tricks, Daniel Sandoval came out victorious. His top scoring run consisted of a 360 down whip, a whip to tuck, 360 bar to down whip, 360 down whip to barspin.
“It feels pretty great to be qualified first because there are so many heavy hitters out here,” said Sandoval. “There are so many riders that want to be in that spot. Tomorrow, I just want to stay on my bike and do well.”
