The third day of Boardmasters Festival 2013 saw Watergate Bay burst into life… Music fans were in their element as some of the most celebrated and exciting names in contemporary music took to the stage. The BMX best trick competition drew gasps from the crowd as the athletes pushed each other to new heights under the Cornish sunshine.
Brock Horneman was rightly crowned the winner of the air comp after his double bar spin flair, although Cornish locals and crowd favourites
Chris Czako and
Tom Isted pushed him close
w

ith a hugely impressive selection of tricks. An honourable mention goes to
Joe Embrey who's huge height and massive inverts drew rapturous applause.
In sharp contrast the winner of the best technical trick was
Alex Coleborn who's mind boggling tech, whip to Canadian foot jam to nose pick, whip footjam and whip in, bar spin to opposite Canadian nose pick, truck driver to foot jam took the plaudits.
Jack Clark, Isaac Lesser and
Vinnie Mayne all demonstrated imagination and ability in equal measures that captured the crowds imagination. Another of the standout moments was
Luke Padgett's Fufanu's 8ft back rail which saw the crowd explode. The prize giving ceremony will take place on Sunday after the PRO mini ramp jam.
