The seventh stop of the Monster Army Recon Tour presented by Replay XD was on fire, literally! Not only was the riding insane, but the temperatures reached well into the 100 + range. Despite the heat, all of the competitors were not backing down from the massive concrete park known as Lake Cunningham Regional Skatepark in San Jose, CA. Competitors traveled from all over California and surrounding states to compete for the glory of being the best. The day started off with the youngest competitor the Recon Tour has witnessed yet. Four- year-old Mason Moreno showed us that the future of BMX will have very strong talent by impressing the well known judges
Victor Salazar, Chris Fox, and
Alex Landeros. Ryan Guettler didn't let the heat affect his announcing skills and kept the energy of the crowd alive all day.
As the day went on the riding kept increasing in skill level just like the heat. The Play Open division ended the day in a huge way with all of the competitors putting everything on the line.

14 year old
Paul Shariff took home second place by destroying the course and tricking everything in his sight. He won over the crowd with huge tricks like his front flip and his intensity throughout his run.
Alex Hiam from Australia took home the first place position by doing tricks no one else was throwing. Tricks like decades, 360 whip to bar, flairs, and his creative lines were the reason he walked away with the number one position and the all expense paid trip to Mike Spinner's Play AM Finals in Florida.
