and a switch double whip for a winning score of 92.94. Brandon Dosch, 21 of Lake Orion, Mich., came in second with a 90.62 and South Bend's Banasiewicz followed in a close third with a score of 90.44.
"A lot of guys were going really big today and looking to throw never-before-seen tricks," said Enarson. "I've learned that doesn't really work for me, so I just went out there and really focused on my technique."
One such athlete looking to go big was Banasiewicz, whose third-place finish was enough to keep him atop the overall Dew Tour rankings with 282 points. Only 30 points behind is Dosh with 252 points, with Enarson trailing just 22 points behind Dosch, accumulating 230 points over the course of the season. With more points on the line at the Dew Tour Championships, the race for the Dew Cup has heated up. "I think I still have a chance at the Dew Cup, and it'd definitely be crazy to get it," said Banasiewicz. "Both Dennis and Brandon rode amazing today, so Vegas should be a great competition."
The four-day skateboarding, BMX and freestyle motocross event will continue today with skateboard park finals and freestyle motocross. Sunday's events include skateboard vert finals and BMX park finals. The Dew Tour will continue on to Las Vegas for the final event of the season - the Dew Tour Championships this October at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino.
