The international BMX circuit continues this weekend, as the best riders on the planet descend on the outdoor Olympic Training Centre in Papendal, Netherlands for the second round of the 2015 UCI BMX Supercross World Cup series. Australia will be represented by 14 of our best riders, spearhead by reigning world champion Sam Willoughby who won a thrilling race last year, and an in form Caroline Buchanan who is the defending time trialist in Papendal.
Caroline Buchanan has won her 15th Australian BMX National Championship title over the weekend at the Sleeman Sports Centre in Brisbane. Buchanan holds onto the Australian National Championship flag sleeve for another year.
Despite the south east Queensland flooding and storms that swept through the event over 3,000 racers, the BMX families and volunteers pulled together with a smile and the show went on.
In a competitive Elite Women’s final, it was Buchanan who grabbed the hole shot and got to an early lead. Western Australia’s Lauren Reynolds who wrapped up the Australian National Series win for 2015 attempted a powerful passing move in the first corner but

World number one Caroline Buchanan and rising star Corey Frieswyk have claimed the elite titles at the Subaru BMX National Championships at the Sleeman Sports Complex in Brisbane.
