It wasn't meant to be the last issue of FAT-'zine but it sure was. Since picking up a job at the European GT marketing offices in Belgium in 1996 I was too busy with work. In fact, it was my first real job and one I liked a lot so screwing around wasn't an option. The Condor made the last cover and I'm glad it's him who got the last FAT-'zine love. Since these 'zines didn't come out every few weeks any longer the content list just got bigger and bigger.

"There was never a real goal in mind for this video, just casually filming clips here and there and mostly getting homies to film on my dad cam. I recently tweaked my knee while filming for Tristan sweets (@sweetlastnamebro) new mix tape “burner” and came out with slight acl tear and miniscus damage. Knowing that I wasn’t going to able to bike for a quite some time, I figured I’d put out this footage out the mean time and come back with a fresh start. After rehabbing my knee through physio and talking to my surgeon I am now slowly getting back on my bmx... What a way to end off the 2022 UCI Red Bull World Championship Qualifier Season at Taira Whiti adventure trust in New Zealand. In the Women's race it was Caroline Buchanan all day long as she secured her ticket to Chile in a time of 26.59 seconds against Megan Williams. A 3rd place for Caitlin Georgantas and a 4th for Shania Rawson. In the Men's race, Bennett Greenough took top spot in qualifying, edging out Bas van Steenbergen by a 10th of a second. With his place in Chile already secured after a win in Canada, Bas took it easy in his semi final run to make sure it was a locals only final between Bennett and Dan Butterworth. In the race for 3rd and 4th place on the podium, Bas put down a heater to beat out Connor Mahuika for 3rd place.
In the finals it was Bennett who would take the no 1 spot against Daniel, with a time half a second quicker than anyone else over the weekend in 23.78 seconds.
