Brandon Dosch has been been making quite a name for himself lately. I recently checked in with Brandon as he was getting reading to head to Germany for a big contest and here is what he had to say:.

You came off with an absolutely phenomenal year in 2010 winning the Dew Championship in Dirt, The Red Bull Stomping Grounds event, the BMX Games in Oz and were named the BMX Dirt Rider of the Year by BMX Plus. Did anything change in the past couple of years or did everything just “click” last year?
Brandon: This past year has been the best year of my life! Not because I won some big contests, but because I have just really enjoyed riding my bike and traveling.

You recently moved to State College, PA and have become a full-time Woodward rider? What made you decide to make a move

USA Cycling will coronate its first national champions of 2011 on Saturday, April 16, at the USA Cycling BMX National Championships at the United States Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista, Calif. For the first time in American BMX history, the elite national championship event will be held on an Olympic-style supercross track, taking advantage of the facility built on the campus of the United States Olympic Training Center ahead of the 2008 Olympic Games. Amateur races will also be contested at the nearby smaller, traditional BMX track at the same venue.

“Having our national championship race on a ‘real’ supercross track clearly identifies an elite national champion,” said USA Cycling BMX Program Director Mike King “Our program’s aim is to develop Olympic and world champions. What better way to do that than on an Olympic and world championship style supercross track?”
