Less than one year ahead of the 2012 Olympic Games, nearly 160 elite BMX riders, and more than two dozen Americans, will gather in London for the official BMX Olympic Test Event, also the third stop of the UCI BMX Supercross World Cup series. The first opportunity for the riders to race the Olympic track ahead of next summer’s Games begins this Friday August 19th, with finals on Saturday the 20th. The final will be broadcast nationwide on NBC on Sunday, August 21 at 3:30 p.m. ET. 
The FATJAM is more than bikes alone. It's a gathering of people who enjoy a day of riding bikes, a day of drinking beers with friends, a day of having a BBQ in a field, listening to music and catching up. The 23rd edition wasn't any different. People showed up for the same reason but got to see the world's best flatland rider do a demo and saw another guy grind the top of a football goal.
