Round 3 of the BMX Supercross World Cup series saw the progression of BMX to a new level. Weather viewed good or bad, the track was challenging to race and allowed no room for error and I believe really showed the true all round best riders who can ride their bike well. To be good on this Berlin track which was remodeled by Elite Trax after the Red Bull R.Evolution mens event last year had many new elements especially for the women.
Hip jumps, cross over jumps, brick jumps, wood lips & transitions, steep dirt jump style transitions and a variety of shaped corners. Coming off the back of 2 wins for myself in the European National League events I was feeling very comfortable on my bike. In the lead up to this world cup the Australian High Performance team got some crucial extra time on the track. Where I was able to test the full limits of the track away from the event and find out what passing maneuvers would be possible.
