At the end of 1989 we got a little dirt spot in our home town of Aarle-Rixtel, NL. We decided to add another FATJAM to the schedule early in the year to open up the outdoor season. It was later dubbed the Mini FATJAM, a smaller version of the summer edition. This past Saturday the Mini FATJAM took place for the 29th time! One can say that the local council got their money's worth on dropping some truckloads of dirt at the Valkendijk. Once again the Sugar Hills locals did the digging and final preparation of the trails for the big day. With loads of rain last week, it was great to work on the sandy trails and when Saturday came around, it was a sunny day. Not only riders came out, but also the locals with their Bavaria's and even the AAA (Aarlese A-sociale Amerikanen club) did a drive by with their American cars.
This footage of Joseph Frans is about 2 years old and was put together by Joseph's good friend Josh Brown. Josh came to visit Austin on a few different occasions, and filmed Joseph a little bit from time to time. This vid is a little peek into his time spent here. We spent all our time in Nimbin relaxing and slowing things down, didn't touch my camera bag until a few hours before we had to leave. Here's some footage from the last chilled early morning session we had at Nimbin with Josh Turley & Eddy Dempsey.
Riding since the age of 15 Sietse grew into one of Hollands prominent riders. He was stoked from the get go, when i asked him to do this video project. Sietse went in, No Holds Barred. Most of the shots are actually one takes. His enthusiasm, style and personality make him a great rider to watch and be around. This video is the result from a couple of hours of shooting different locations in Utrecht (Holland).
