USA Cycling and the United States Olympic Committee today released a detailed description of the event format that will be utilized at next month’s 2008 U.S. Olympic Team Trials for the sport of BMX.
Scheduled for Saturday, June 14 at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista, Calif., the U.S. Olympic Team Trials will feature eight competitors with the overall winner earning an automatic nomination to the 2008 U.S. Olympic Team. 

On Thursday, June 12th 2008 in the heart of New York City, BMX legend Kevin Robinson will attempt to soar into the world record books by clearing the height of a six story building on a BMX bike, in the next Red Bull Experiment. Kevin is the winner of seven X Games medals, including three gold. He will make his attempt on a never before built Super Quarter Pipe.

This past April, the Éclat team, consisting of the UK's Ashley Charles and the US's Chester Blacksmith, embarked on their first team trip, from Germany to London, England, ultimately culminating in Spain. The purpose of the trip, aside from simply trying to enjoy what everyone expected would be warm spring weather, was to celebrate the launch of the Éclat brand. Both Chester and Ashley's newly outfitted bikes featured Éclat's Webster seats, Tibia cranks, Surge pedals, a new CNC sprocket and Éclat's prototype hubs; and the trip served as Éclat's first product trial by fire of sorts.

Terry Adams just traveled to Veracruz Mexico to ride with the locals and compete in the Revolcon BMX serious contest. Terry reports: "The flatland Scene is Mexico is growing really big! If you ever have the oppertunity to support a BMX Event over there, Please do so!"

Issue 1 of the "4Down On the road video series" features a UK trip with Dakota Roche, Steve Debusk, Scott Ditchburn, Alex Kennedy, Ricky Feather & Robin Fenlon. Heading from the south to the north and back again,via Leeds, Middlesborough, Aberdeen & Sadberge.

The crowd at FISE in Montpellier were loving Venezuelan, Daniel Dhers. He's been having an amazing year and has obviously built up a lot of support. His reign at the top continues with a win at the first leg of the 2008 Braun cruZer Tour. From the first practice runs on Thursday he showed all the competition he was the man to beat with his super quick style. During the finals he was executing tricks with insane accuracy. This continues to be the year of Dhers, he must be absolutely stoked having won the Street contest at FISE also.
