Do you remember the first BMX event you went to this year and how did it go?
Analia Zacarias: My first event was Fise Montpellier this year, and it was amazing. It was my first time to ride with a lot of girls, super nice and first time I rode big ramps at Fise course. It was incredible.
How many weekends/days were you away from home and at a BMX jam/contest or on tour?
JARREN BARBOZA ALL DAY BMX SHOP VIDEO. Jarren Barboza ALL DAY BMX SHOP video is Live! We started working on this video a few months back in Mexicali Mexico and finished up in San Diego. Definitely stoked to show you guys this video for your viewing pleasure.
Shadow / Subrosa rider Jiri Blabol rides nearly every damn day and it shows. He’s got some of the most tech tricks on lock, and I’m not sure I’ve ever seen someone throw double bars so fast and casual! Take a look at Jiri crushing spots all over the Czech Republic, and then watch it again, for all the stuff you missed.

USA Cycling announced the launch of the USA Cycling National Team at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Fifty-one athletes across BMX, cyclocross, mountain bike, road, and track cycling were initially named to the 2018 USA Cycling National Team and identified as the top performing athletes in each discipline based on objective performance-based criteria. “USA Cycling has always developed America’s best cyclists and aided them in international success, but we have not had a formal National Team in nearly two decades,” stated CEO Derek Bouchard-Hall. “We are introducing the USA Cycling National Team now to help our Olympic and World Championship contenders achieve their absolute best, clarify for all elite athletes how to attain USA Cycling’s top level of support, and create a clear path and goals for developing athletes that aspire to Olympic and international success.”
The United States of America officially has a freestyle BMX team. Yesterday in Colorado Springs at The Olympic Training Center, USA Cycling named the following riders as members of their national team - Nick Bruce Colton Walker Daniel Sandoval Pat Casey Justin Dowell Hannah Roberts Angie Marino Cory Coffey Along with naming the team, the athletes (and I, for some reason) got to explore the amenities The Olympic Training Center had to offer. From nutritionists to psychologists to masseuses - and much, much more - the riders have access to countless tools to maximize their abilities.
The 2018 season will get a rad opening in Japan. From April 6th to 8th, Hiroshima’s former Municipal Stadium will be home to the FISE action sports and peace festival. FISE World Series 2017 concluded just one month ago in Chengdu, China, but it is already time to prepare next season’s grand opening. Action sports festivals such as FISE are experiencing worldwide growth, especially amongst young people.
Within this new context, FISE Hiroshima can be regarded as a significant step forward in generating awareness of, and interest in, youth-focused events like Skateboarding and BMX Freestyle throughout Japan. The festival will feature a strong focus on events that can be enjoyed casually by young people and women throughout the city.
We're excited to present this new video series from United, 'No Foreign Lands' that will run throughout the next year. The first destination was the heavily explored city of Lyon in France. Despite it's well-ridden spots the United crew, consisting of Nathan Williams, Sebastian Anton, Corey Martinez, Harry Mills Wakley, Alex Valentino and Tom Deville put their mark on the city in a big way. So, the beginning of this new chapter marked the end of another as United's founder Ian Morris explain below, with some pretty big news: “This was Nathan's last trip riding for United as you can see from the edit, he still put in 110% into it, even though we knew he was leaving the brand. This is testament to who he is as rider and a person. He’s been with the United for 11 years almost since the very first day. I can’t thank Nathan enough for what he’s done for us over the years. It’s been a pleasure and I wish him all the very best on his journey ahead." - Ian Morris / United Bike Co
