Jet Set Films and Shine Global are proud to present 1 Way Up in 3D in cinemas around the UK from 11 July 2014. 1 Way Up in 3D follows two teenagers struggling to escape the grips of a gang torn neighborhood in Peckham, south London with the only thing every boy has – a bike. The film features a pulsating soundtrack of spoken-word and rap vignettes from musicians including UK rap artist Phreeda Sharp plus animated illustrations and archival footage of Peckham’s past. Filmed using cutting-edge 3D HD technology, including super slo-mo “phantom” cameras and 3D Go Pros mounted on bikes and riders, the documentary allows viewers to literally immerse themselves in the drama.
Despite a lifetime of poverty, gang pressures and hugely limited resources,
Tre Whyte (17) and
Quillan Isadore (16) have their sights set on international BMX stardom. Under the guidance of their devoted mentor
CK Flash, we follow their journey from a small backyard BMX track, located on one of the roughest estates in Peckham, to the World Championships.
